GP Specialist

Dr. Owain is a qualified General Practitioner (MBBS) from Imperial College, London and underwent his Medical training at Cambridge University.

Dr. Greville has trained in some of the most prestigious Hospitals in London and later completed his internship at the world-renowned Oxford Deanery- (John Radcliffe Hospital, Oxford Tertiary Centre)

He has been a GP for almost 13 years and is a well-regarded, established community family doctor. He has been in Darwin for over 5 years.

In addition to his love of General Practice, he holds a qualification in family planning, inserts intrauterine Coils (Copper, Kyleena, and Mirena devices), holds a qualification in skin dermatoscopy, and has completed a course in prolotherapy (pain management injections).

He appreciates the importance of a holistic/ functional approach to health and wellness and is well-suited to the slow, measured medical approach taken at the VMG clinic. He does not have a working background in the Australian Defence Force (ADF), which is a preference for some Veterans. He has been listed as a DVA-recommended GP due to his experience and love of treating Veterans and his pragmatic approach to navigating the ADF system.

Dr. Owain's journey to his current position has been shaped by his personal experiences. Growing up on a farm in rural West Wales, he was deeply involved in lambing, hedge laying, sheepdog training, and choir singing, which instilled in him a strong sense of community and care. Dr. Greville's approach to patient care is characterized by his unwavering courtesy and non-judgmental attitude, a testament to his respect for each individual's unique circumstances and needs
