Our GP Shared Care model offers a collaborative approach between your GP and the hospital’s Obstetric team, designed for women with low-risk pregnancies who value continuity and convenience.
Most of your antenatal appointments will take place at VMG Clinic, allowing ongoing care with a familiar GP who knows your medical history.
• You’ll attend key hospital visits around 17 weeks and 36 weeks for specialist input and delivery planning.
• The hospital will manage your labour, delivery, and immediate postnatal care, after which your GP resumes care for you and your baby.
This coordinated model ensures a safe, personalised, and seamless pregnancy journey—combining community-based GP care with access to hospital expertise.
